Living Room Restyle

Living Room Restyle

Spring is here, Easter has passed, now what to do with your decor? I created a living room restyle using a few new pieces in a unified color. I headed down to my decor storage room in the basement, and decided to pull out my coral pillows and accessories. I like to organize my decor by color and/or season, and I store things in clear totes so they are easy to see and access. I used these pillows in my room last Summer, but this time around they’re making their debut this Spring!

Living Room Restyle with Coral

I also had this rug rolled up in storage from last summer. I just love shopping for a restyle in my own storage! I had almost forgotten I had this great rug that I found at HomeGoods. Although it’s patterned, it’s still pretty neutral, and can be paired with other patterns in the same colors. I always like to keep a few white pillows on the sofa to balance out my feature color, in this case coral. Pillows can be smashed down and stored in clear totes easily, and they pop right back up into good form when you’re ready! The coral pillows, mirrored side table, and table top accessories were all found at HomeGoods. The large mirror on the wall is from Ikea, and hacked to look like beachy drift wood. You can see the tutorial here. The white coffee table is by Safavieh, and can be found here and the gray and white arm chair is also by Safavieh. The gray and white arm chair doesn’t normally sit this close to the sofa, but I moved it in for the picture. It’s fun to play with styling arrangements and move them back easily. (I know the edge of the rug is a little bent upward…it’s been rolled up for a while. The chair and table placed there will help flatten it back down). You can also find a similar sectional sofa here.

Next, I added pink flowers atop a cute little floral box, and spring branches in a large mercury glass jug to my console table. These accessories, lamps, table and pillows under the table are from HomeGoods. The wreath on the door is from Target. The large basket under the table is from Orchard Supply Harware. Don’t look too closely at my floors, I had swept them before the pic, but looks like I should have used the Swiffer too! Ha!

Entryway Console Table

Here’s a view of my favorite little console table right at the doorway. I just love anything that has a beachy weathered look! I found it, and most of the accessories on it at HomeGoods. The palm leaf painting, I painted myself.

Aged Wood Console Table

I carried the theme on over to the other side of the room for this living room restyle, as well. The fireplace and mantel are always a fun spot to decorate. I found this “Olives Natural” clay vase a few years ago at HomeGoods, and it always seems to stay right here. I just change what I display in it, as the seasons change. The pink hydrangeas are from Michael’s. My kids love to sit on the hearth, so I added a little faux fur rug and a pillow from Marshall’s to make it cozy! I also added a couple pink vases with flowers and some other accessories from HomeGoods to the mantel.

Fireplace and Mantel Styling

The mirrored cabinet was found at a local furniture store, but here is something similar. I painted the abstract black and white art myself. The wall color in this room is Gardenia by Benjamin Moore.

My living room restyle is complete! (For now! haha) Thank you for reading! Happy Spring Decorating to you!

xoxo,

Amy
