Prevent Illness Naturally with a DIY “Flu Shot”

Did you ever think we'd be telling people to get a flu shot? Well, you're right. We wouldn't. But we have an alternative DIY “flu shot” we think is worth its weight in gold, and you don't even have to go the doctor to get it!

We chose several of our favorite ingredients from our most effective home remedies, and combined them to make one powerful tonic in one tiny little package. This mix has helped us fend off and beat down lots of winter woes, and we use it at the first sign of trouble. One or two times a day for a few days usually does the trick.

Health-enhancing Properties Treat and Prevent Illness Naturally

The human body is beautifully designed to keep illness at bay when the immune system has what it needs to get the job done. Just check out this list of powerhouse ingredients and you'll see why it works so well!

Apple cider vinegar is the jack of all trades in our book with its long list of health benefits that include its incredible ability to kill viruses and bacteria.

Turmeric, ginger and cayenne are super detoxifying agents thanks to their ability to increase blood flow throughout the body.

Garlic is a powerful anti-bacterial, anti-viral substance that we use every single time we get sick.

Lemon is packed with vitamin C which is critically important to a body that's fighting illness, or one that's just trying to stay healthy.

Raw honey helps lighten the spice load of this wellness shot, and it adds a ton of anti-bacterial and anti-viral healing properties.

DIY Flu Shot Recipe

Just mix all the ingredients together, and down the hatch it goes! Feel free to add a splash of water into mix before you drink if it seems a little strong for your liking.

You could also use fresh ingredients in place of the powders, but you'll need to use a juicer or a blender to break them down enough to drink.

NOTE: This concoction is too strong for kids to handle, but you can tone it down and omit the cayenne, or halve the recipe, then dilute it in tea or warm water to make a wellness drink suitable for the littles.

P.S. Did you know that there are vaccine contraindications that some folks should pay close attention to?
